We offer unlimited remote assistance and on-site visits for all of our service plans. Whenever a teacher or staff member needs assistance, they submit a tech support ticket to initiate the consultation. Most tickets are answered within an hour with a resolution to the issue issued that day. If needed, we will request a remote session using Microsoft's built in Quick Assist feature. If the issue persists and we are unable to solve it remotely, we can have a tech support agent on site that day.
Your computer hardware, networking devices, and anything in between are not immortal. It is vital to setup a Technology Plan for monthly maintenance and eventual replacement. We help you to build this plan in an economical and feasible way to minimize impact on your budget while maximizing their use.
We have developed Technology Plans for many years and are a must for any school. In some districts and states, your school's accreditation might also require it. Let us show you how an effective plan will save you thousands in technology expenses, giving you more money to use elsewhere.
Most big projects are handled during the summer. This is when the least amount of disruptions occur as students and most staff are not on campus. These big projects can include running cabling, re-wiring, hardware installations, PC wipes, and tablet deployment. These are Items that are usually not covered in our monthly service. During the school year, summer projects are discussed and planned and budgets set.
If you're planning a summer project, let us know as soon as possible as our schedule fills up quickly. A deposit of 50% of the quote is due upfront to place you on the schedule. The remaining balance is due when the project starts. If you are using EANS, we require a $1,000 deposit to hold the date. If the project is rejected, a full refund will be issued if greater than 30 days before start date. Anything after this will not be refunded.
Is this really more cost effective?
We are in a unique position where we provide local IT services while not imposing a financial burden on schools. The salary for a qualified IT technician can be as high as $80,000 a year, with most falling in the upper $40,000. On the backend, the school must pay retirement and health insurance. Our flat rate service starts at $1,999 a month. That's it.
What services do you recommend we use?
This is dependent on the needs of your organization. In our experience, schools run most efficiently using Microsoft 365 with Azure Active Directory. We also recommend using Google Workspace/GSuite as most LMS' connect to this service.
What made you get started with schools?
Mr. Miller, the founder of MTP, has been a Computer Science teacher for almost 9 years. Working in an educational environment is unique and requires different needs than any other organization.
Is network cabling included?
Network cabling, including fiber and copper, are not included in the monthly service. If you need network cabling ran on your campus, let us know! We can do a campus tour with you to discuss your options.
